Therapy is challenging. It can be more than discussing weekly challenges. Everyone is an expert of their own experience. This is a priceless contribution you make. Together we’ll explore where you want to be at the end of therapy. Then, we’ll work together to create a plan tailored to you that we’ll try, revise, try again, try a different approach, revise, try again, and so on. As your therapist, I will give you my unconditional support and always view you positively. Therapy will be rewarding, but it could also be uncomfortable. I’ll be with you every step of the way.

I am especially passionate about working with BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ clients due to me personally identifying with these communities. I enjoy working with anyone ages 9+, but I’m especially skilled at working with pre-teens and teenagers. I’ve shown to have a knack for working with depression, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. I also typically work with clients to manage anxiety, increase self-esteem, emotionally regulate, navigate relationships, explore identities, and adjust to life transitions.

My approach with clients is greatly influenced by the different needs people have based on their stage in life. My work with children is grounded in play as a tool of healing connection. I believe the child’s family has the greatest ability to support their child and I encourage involvement. My work with teens is grounded in us both being “real.” I work with a teen’s family as needed while nurturing the teen’s autonomy. My approach with adults is grounded in collaboration.

I believe the most important part of therapy is the bond I have with my clients. My work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) – emotions are at the core of experiences and our bonds to others can be impactful. I also use Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Psychotherapy, and creative interventions tailored to each client. My approach centers on social justice and multiculturalism – your identities, social locations, and broader experiences. I am dedicated to providing tailored care.

In my free time, I enjoy fantasy novels, anime shows or movies (Ponyo), and video games (Animal Crossing: New Horizons).
