“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart, and try to love the questions themselves…”
–Rainer Maria Rilke
In the midst of life’s difficult questions and moments, I strive to create a safe and trust-filled therapeutic space where individuals can talk openly about their concerns and explore what is most important to them. I believe that every individual has the strength, expertise, and wisdom to live a life that is in sync with their values, and I’m passionate about supporting individuals as they work toward healing, growing, and learning more about themselves.
My therapeutic framework is founded on a collaborative and relationship-focused approach. I view therapy as a partnership that adapts to the unique needs, desires, and circumstances that each individual brings. This is not a “one-size-fits-all” approach, but an approach that is personalized for each individual that I work with. My work draws upon methods from a number of therapeutic sources, including psychodynamic and relational therapy, existential therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, spiritual practice, and the creative arts.
I’ve worked as a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) within behavioral health for the last several years. This work has provided me with the opportunity to provide support and build relationship with a number of individuals experiencing mental health issues. My love of music extends beyond the professional setting, and I often play the piano, listen to music, and write songs in my spare time. I love swimming in the Puget Sound and living in Tacoma with my husband.
I look forward to working with you!
