Kelly Pattison, MA, LMHC
I got into the field of counseling because of one simple thing – hope. I believe that it is by stepping into our questions, struggles, and past harm that we come to know hope more deeply. There is power in telling our stories and allowing someone else to hear them. I strive to create a safe space for you to look at what may be holding you back from living the life you wish you could live, to hear your stories, and to offer support as best I can.
My specialization is working with survivors of sexual abuse and assault. I have spent the past three years as an advocate at Rebuilding Hope, the Sexual Assault Center for Pierce County, and completed a year-long counseling internship there. Although sexual abuse and assault have a profound impact on life, no matter how long ago it happened, it is never too late to process through it and find healing. I also work with trauma and PTSD, Title IX support, grief, anxiety, depression, sexual issues, women’s issues, LGBTQ issues, college students, and adolescents.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Counseling Psychology from a small school in the mountains of northeast Georgia before relocating to Seattle, where I received my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School. I am licensed in the state of Washington as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), #LH60722752.
In my spare time, I enjoy writing, winning fantasy hockey leagues, and being in close proximity to the ocean as much as possible. I think that books, coffee, and cats are a magical combination. I try to find beauty in the seemingly mundane moments of the day-to-day, because life is just better when you take the time to be inspired.
